Job Title: Office Coordinator

Start Date: As soon as possible

Hours: 30-35 per week

Located below the Woodgrove Pines Wellness Clinic, the Woodgrove Pines Health Club offers clients a comfortable atmosphere where they can confidently achieve their fitness goals. With the option of 24 hour access, members are able to choose a workout schedule that best fits into their busy lives! The Health Club has Kinesiologists and Personal Trainers on staff who help to ensure each member is trained properly on the equipment. In addition, our Kinesiologists and Personal Trainers can provide members with a workout program and helpful tips to keep members on the right track!

Market Studio is another portion of the downstairs area which is a studio rental that the Office Coordinator oversees. There are currently classes offered in dance, yoga, boot camps, and fitness classes all available to a variety of ages. The Office Coordinator is responsible for invoicing and collecting payments from all renters as well as ensure there aren’t any scheduling conflicts. 

Woodgrove Pines Health Club is currently recruiting an optimistic individual seeking a multi-disciplinary role as the Office Coordinator.   

Job Duties Include but are not limited to:

  • Support practitioners in day-to-day duties to maintain a viable workflow in the studio and gym. 
  • Maintain effective relationships with all Studio, Rehab and Clinic customers, patients, staff.
  • Contact lawyers and adjusters regarding patient approval and treatment plans.
  • Monthly billing to ICBC.
  • Planning as well as the coordination of studio rental times and scheduling.
  • Booking patients into the practitioner’s schedules & following established procedures for handling payments efficiently and accurately.
  • Operate with a business acumen that maintains a level of service to the community, integrity, and profitability of the studio and gym.
  • Maintain a high level of focus on customer service with studio clients and rehab patients.

Ideal Candidates will possess:

  • Accurate data entry skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal communication and organization skills.
  • Proven ability to work independently as well as in a team.
  • Ensures a positive attitude and team orientation is exhibited in both verbal and non-verbal communication.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
  • Motivational and entrepreneurial drive.
  • The ability to effectively utilize technology including the use of computers, iPad/Tablet use, internet access, email, and social media. 
  • The ability operate standard office equipment.
  • This position requires physical labour including the ability to lift heavy boxes up to 50 pounds as well as standing for varied periods throughout the shift.

Registered Kinesiologist Needed for our Exercise and Rehabilitation Facility! 

Job Title: Registered Kinesiologist

Start Date: Immediate Opening - Part time and Full time Position

Remuneration: Terms are negotiable, meaning it can be percentage based, wage based or other options which can be discussed or negotiated. 

We are looking for a Registered Kinesiologist to join our awesome team of health care practitioners. In addition to working with our crew of professionals, Woodgrove Pines Wellness Clinic provides an excellent exercise and rehabilitation facility for you to excel in your expertise and provide your patients with gold standard training modalities!  Our kinesiologists work directly with patients to help them achieve their rehabilitative and fitness goals.

We are located on beautiful Vancouver Island in the north end of Nanaimo. Our exercise and rehabilitation facility is approx 6,000 sq. ft., with a large, established clientele base and professionally trained office staff.  

Qualifications:

  • Degree in Kinesiology
  • One year experience (preferred but not required)
  • Registration and Membership with British Columbia Association of Kinesiologists
  • ICBC active rehabilitation experience (preferred but not required)
  • Experience in group fitness, personal training and rahbilitation for chronic diseases and clinical populations

Ideal candidate will possess:

  • Proven ability to work independently as well as with a team
  • Ensures a positive attitude and team orientation is exhibited in verbal and non-verbal communication
  • Building exercise therapy programs and providing clientele with means of direction/instruction
  • An eager willingness to build own clientele
